Ph.D. Scholarship in Kochi University of Technology, Southern Japan

One year
The term will be extended for increments of one year up to a total of three years, unless the university terminates the scholarship for any of the reasons.

5. OBLIGATIONS
(1) Scholarship recipient must work as a research assistant under the specific research project.
However, the total paid working time per week, including research assistant work, should not exceed 28 hours.
(2) Scholarship recipient must report his/her study and research achievements to the dean of the graduate school of engineering at the end of each semester. The submitted reports will be evaluated.

6. BENEFITS
(1) Receive up to 1,200, 000 yen per year for working as a research assistant.
(2) Exemption from 300,000 yen enrollment fee and 535,800 yen (per year) tuition fee.
(3) Receive 200,000 yen for travel and initial living costs (given only to applicants who are living outside Japan at the time of application)

7. ELIGIBILITY Applicants are required to meet all of the following conditions
(1) To have or to be expected to acquire a master`s degree before enrollment.
(2) To have intention, adequate knowledge and research skill to work as a research assistant under the one of research projects listed here
(3) To have an excellent academic record

Scholarship graduate program in the East of England

PhD Scholarship program - Commercialisation and Internationalisation of Innovative Companies in the East of England


This modern University has ambitious plans for its future. Two main campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford are being transformed with major capital investments. With an annual income of £120m, 25,500 students and 2,000 staff, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.

The Ashcroft International Business School is offering a PhD studentship to work on the commercialisation and internationalisatio n of innovative companies in the East of England.


This scholarship will enable the successful applicant to develop a specific proposal to address this generic issue drawing on previous work carried out in this area by the supervisory team and the regional and international contacts with actors in the business support and development networks in Canada, Europe, China and India and agencies such as the European Commission, East of England International and the OECD.

The successful applicant will have a good (minimum 2:1) undergraduate degree in business, management or a related discipline and will have, or be near to completing a Masters degree. Experience of working in an entrepreneurial environment will be desirable, as will experience of living and working outside their country of birth. Willingness to travel internationally, including undertaking a research internship outside the UK, is essential. This is a full-time scholarship and the successful applicant will be expected to form part of a vibrant, busy research group based on our Cambridge campus, working with other researchers and research students to enhance our scholarly and publishing output in this area.

Scholarships graduate program in Australia for Indonesian

Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) gives scholarship programs.

This is achieved by providing post-graduate scholarships for Indonesians to study in Australia.

Candidates :

  • Be an Indonesian citizen and not have permanent residence in Australia or New Zealand;
  • Not be married or engaged to a person who is eligible to hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residence;
  • Satisfy Australian Government requirements for international student entry to Australia (health, character etc);
  • Not hold a scholarship that would give similar benefits;
  • Not have held an Australian Government Scholarship in the 12 months preceding the application;
  • Be applying to commence a new course of study and not be seeking support through ADS for a course already commenced in Australia;
  • Be able to take up the scholarship in the year for which it is offered; and
  • Satisfy the admission requirements of the Australian tertiary institution in which the course is to be undertaken.

Specifically, Candidates must :

  • Be applying for courses that fall within the four areas of development priority;
  • Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.9 (on a scale of maximum 4.0) and an English language proficiency of at least 5.0 in IELTS (or 500 in Institutional TOEFL or equivent). The IELTS or TOEFL result must be current (a test result obtained in 2008 or 2009 will be considered current);
  • Already hold an undergraduate degree, if applying for a Masters;
  • Already have a Masters, if applying for a Doctorate;
  • Apply for a degree at a level higher than their current highest qualification;
  • If applying for a Doctorate, applicants must be staff of universities, higher education institutions, research institutes, key policy makers and targeted candidates in other agencies associated with AusAID activities. It is highly desirable for Doctorate applicants to have a letter of support from an Australian university for their proposed field of study;
  • Answer all relevant questions on the application form;
  • Be willing and available to take full-time (Monday - Friday, 08.00 - 16.00)English for Academic Purposes(EAP) training in Indonesia prior to studying in Australia, if offered a scholarship; and
  • Be not older than 42 years old at time of application.
LENGTH OF STUDY AND COURSE OPTIONS

Scholarships will be available for full-time study of an Australian post-graduate qualification for the minimum period required to complete the award through the relevant Australian university, selected from AusAID contracted universities (normally a maximum of 2 years for Masters and 4 years for Doctorate).

Fellowship Program by Nippon Foundation

Asian Public Intellectuals (API) Fellowships Program

The API Fellowships are for those under 40 years of age, as of August 31, 2009.
The project may be carried out for a minimum of four (4) months to a maximum
of twelve (12) months. Up to two (2) API Participating Countries may be visited.

In addition to the general eligibility above, the applicants for the API Fellowships must:
Be under the age of 40 as of August 31, 2009 (exceptions may be made);
Have the ability and desire to engage in research projects and/or professional activities
in the Participating Countries other than the applicant's native or country of residence;
Have a strong potential to contribute to their field in the future; - Undertake the proposed
research projects and/or professional activities for a consecutive period of between four (4)
and twelve (12) months (Note: The fellowship period must be continuous.); and
Undertake the proposed research projects and/or professional activities in up to two (2) of the
Participating Countries, but in a country(ies) other than the applicant's native country or
country of residence.

What is timing?
The deadline for application submission is August 31, 2009.
Interviews will take place in September/October/November 2009.
The results will be announced in February 2010.
The project must be carried out between July 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011.

Your project proposal must address to the following questions (in less than five (5) pages):
  • What is your project? Please answer in detail.
  • Why do you want to carry out this project?
  • Why are you the right person to do this project? (mention relevant previous experience.)
  • How are you going to do it? (methodology)
  • What will be the outputs (research paper, video, performance, etc.) and how will you disseminate it?
  • How does the project contribute to the goal of API?
  • What are your past achievements and future plans as a public intellectual? (organization, advocacy, publication, etc.) How will this Fellowship help you?

Scholarship Graduate Program (Ph.D) at Universiti Teknologi MARA

Master's degree holders interested to pursue Ph.D. in any of the following research themes

Scholarship Graduate Program By Ford Foundation

FORD FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS PROGRAM

Registration and Selection Schedule

All files must be submitted to the registration for the IIEF and then reviewed and assessed by the national selection panel and the members area which consists of experts and practitioners in various academic fields.


Registration and schedule selection for Indonesia

IIEF registration to receive the scholarship throughout the year through IFP Pre-Registration Form which must be received at least every 31 August 2009.

* Applicants who pass the selection to the registration form will be given full registration on 30 October 2009.
* Then there will be a selection test language ability in February and April 2010 interview.
* Scholarship recipient will be announced around August 2010 and will begin to climb on the course of academic year 2011.

Who is Eligible Only for Obtaining IFP Scholarship in Indonesia

IFP provides support for postgraduate studies (Master or Doctoral) for community members who have less opportunity for higher education, among other people living in remote areas, indigenous peoples, marginalized people, or people who are in conflict areas / 'post-conflict'. Women are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a citizenship and live in Indonesia.

Other requirements that must be fulfilled by applicants, namely:

* have completed a program of study Sarjana/S1 with a very good achievement,
* play an active role in the community or the community,
* have a work plan to implement what akan dipelajarinya in accordance with the objectives of the Ford Foundation, and

  • Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) aims to develop leadership, build partnerships and links, and address priority issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Australian Leadership Awards comprises:

ALA Scholarships target those whose chosen field of study equips them to play a significant

Scholarship Benefits

An ALA Masters Scholarship, taken over two years can be valued up to A$150,000.

YCCC has articulation agreements with 35 Universities around the world in USA, UK, Australia, Europe and Canada, and has had Programmes accepted as suitable prior learning for entry into a number of Hong Kong and Asian Universities. YCCC's AD graduates, who meet the necessary requirements set by individual universities, have a wide choice of further study opportunities and can enter into around 100 or more different degree course*. The articulation agreements enable AD graduates with an appropriate CPA and IELTS level to enter into the second year of three-year bachelor degree courses, or to transfer credits and complete a bachelor's degree in two years. A few universities offer to take students into the final year of a degree course (top-up degree courses).

Graduate scholarship at AEU University

THERE ARE AN OPPRORTUNITY FOR INDONESIAN TALENTED SCHOLAR FOR GRADUATE DEGREE AT UNITED ARAB EMIRATES UNIVERSITY

I. INFORMATION


1. Ph. D. students must be full time for all students.
2. All Ph.D. students will be supported by a scholarship that will include:
  • Tax free stipend of 10,000 AED monthly
  • Furnished housing provided by university
  • Health insurance for student, spouse and up to three children
  • Textbooks will be provided
  • Round trip air tickets to home country for student, spouse and up to three children(for expatriate students) annually.
  • Tuition will be charged for the Ph.D. program on a credit hour basis and all admitted students will be eligible to receive sponsorships of tuition. Students admitted to the Ph.D. program who do not receive external sponsorships will be eligible for University sponsorship of tuition charges.
4. The expected duration of the Ph.D. program will be 3-4 years post Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years post Master’s degree
5. The program will consist of at least one year’s graduate level course work, passing of a qualifying examination and successful completion of a dissertation.
6. The host department prepare the exact nature of a Ph.D. students’ program and approved by the Board of Graduate Research Studies.
7. Study available include all areas currently presented by the faculties and colleges at UAEU. Discipline field names will be used such as chemical engineering, physics, history, etc.

II.REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum GPA Expectation:
  • 3.5 out of 4.0 for final 60 credit hours of Bachelor degree.
  • 3.5 out of 4.0 for Masters Course work of Master degree
  • Minimum TOEFL score – 575 expected
3. GRE scores will be considered; GMAT scores for Business will be considered. These scores are not required but will strengthen the application.
4. Two letters of recommendation are required
5. After receipt of the completed application form and supporting information as outlined in the next section, an application proposal will be prepared by host department and will require the approval of the department chair and college dean. This proposal will include a statement of personal goals from the candidate and a description of the proposal program of work.
6. The proposal will be considered by the Board of Graduate Research Studies and a recommendation made to the Provost who will make the final decision as to acceptance into the program.
7. Each of the following will be considered in reaching a decision whether or not to approve enrollment and the proposed course of study:
  • Candidates suitability, academic achievements and potential
  • Suitability and research record of supervisor and, if applicable, co-supervisor(s)
  • Suitability and research record of thesis advisory committee membership
  • Department facilities or their equivalent
  • Proposed coursework, including learning outcome goals
  • Proposed thesis topic or general area of research(exact topic may be approved later)
  • Eligibility and admission to the Ph.D. program are independent of the applicant’s tuition sponsorship.
